Early Morning Run

I decided that I should try to fit a few more short runs into my weekly schedule in an attempt to increase my weekly mileage. The only problem with this is that I really am not a morning person, especially when my allergies are bad. I set my alarm to get up for a run this morning and kept adjusting the time I was supposed to get up. I finally got up at 10 to seven, which meant by the time I got up and ready I only had 20 minutes to go outside and run. I headed out, it was bit chilly this morning about 45, but not windy. I walked heading up the hill to the main street near my apartment. About 4 minutes into walking I started running. I ran for 9 minutes without stopping, finally slowing to a walk for a minute then running again. I ended up running about 12 minutes total with a bit of a walking cool down when I was done. The run felt pretty good, not too hard, and I definitely wanted to stay out longer, but didn’t have the time.

I tracked the route on google maps and went a total of about 1 mile while running and 1.3 miles total for about 22 minutes approximately.

I then had to hurry to get ready for work. Its been a busy day, but I’m looking forward to going to the gym.
