Exercise update

Thanks for all the advice that everyone has been giving me. I am sure I will have more questions. I seem to think of a new one each day.

As mentioned earlier, I had dinner plans this evening so I had to fit my exercise in after work, which is good since we ended up spending two hours at dinner with out realizing it and now it is much too late to do a full workout. I did pretty well at Dinner and had a turkey burger and sweetpotato fries. YUM.

Speaking of food, I forgot my planned lunch for the day and had to eat a frozen meal that has been in the work refrigerator for at least 6 months. Luckily it was there at all and I actually ate it instead of ordering junk. (note to self , bring another backup lunch to work)

Shoe Help

I've decided that I need new shoes for working out. I have been using cheap shoes for walking and have been working out in my socks. I think its time to invest in new shoes.
Problem is I don't know what kind of shoe to look for. I used to buy athletic shoes in college just for the look of them, but I know that isn't what I want them for, although I would like them to be cute.

So here is what I need
  • shoes for that i can use for cardio and walking
  • that are width width
  • that aren't ugly

anyone have any suggestions. I thought about ordering online, but realize I probably have to try the shoes on.

Good Buy

I took an online survey last week and got a 10.00 amazon gift certificate, with it I was able to buy the Carmen Electra video I got from the library for only 99 cents.
YAY

Unmotivated Monday

I don't know why it is that I think that I can get up early. I thought this morning I would get up before work to workout, the problem is I value sleep too much. I would prefer to sleep in then get up in the dark.

I think if I definitely knew I had no chance to workout in the evening, I might be able to motivate myself, but I am not sure that would even work.

I have been asked a few times how Sunday dinner went, well luckily for me we went out to eat. Now first of all keep in mind that I didn't know we were eating out and didn't dress for eating out. I was wearing comfy sweats not going out clothes. Anyway, my in-laws wanted to try a restaurant that they had heard about at their church. Well at least it wasn't a buffet, it was instead a southern restaurant.

It was hard for me to find something on the menu that wasn't fried, smothered or super fattening. I ended up eating roasted chicken , candied yams, some corn bread and a salad. The food was good, but huge portions. I only ate a bit of everything.

We watched flightplan last night. It was pretty good. I really like Jody Foster.
