What have I done today

So today officially starts my lastest attempt to be healthier.

You may think my motivation is the need to set a new years goal and that may partly be true,
but I think I am more motivated by reading of so many other people who are so motivated via blogs. I am motivated by a desire to feel better. After being sick twice with different ailments in the last 3 weeks, I am ready to feel better.

After watching Oprah and the Biggest loser's ,I have adopted a slogan which is the title of my post.

This is adapted from a song by Heather Small entitled Proud
The chorus of which is
"What have you done today to make you feel proud?
It's never too late to try

My thinking is that if every day I can do at least one thing for to be proud of then at least it is a start.

My goals
To eat healthier
To eat out less (was doing well at this until I got sick)
To be more active
To blog my activities or lack there off
To read more (once again sickness has kept me from that)
To walk in a 5k this spring

Thanks to Simba's mom, I have a training schedule and some nutrition guidelines. I like having my own personal trainer.

I am hoping that every day in addition to my normal post or in conjunction with, I will be able to tell you what What I have done today.

I have been looking into 5k's in the area and have found a few. I am hoping to convince my Mom or husband or someone to participate in one with me. If any runner's are interested in joining me in a 5k I would welcome that as well.
Here are some of the races I have found
Woof n' hoof 5k in April where you can walk with your dog, I don't think ING qualifies, but I can walk dogless and my mom could walk with one of her dogs.
Briarwood 5k also in April

I think that starting next weekend or tomorrow I need to start getting up I didn't get up until 11...which throws off your day a bit.

What I have done today
30 minute walk/kick video
10 Squats
25 Crunches
15 bicep curls
