Random ramblings

Today’s work day went fast. Customer service training wasn’t as bad as expected. Actually it was sort of fun.

After work, we headed to the gym. I was tempted to run outside, but it was winding and I wasn’t in the mood for resistance while running.

The treadmill run went pretty well. I finished the 5k distance in about 45 minutes. I walked the first 5 minutes to warm up then ran for 15 minutes and then walked for 1.5 minutes ran 5 walked 1.5 ran 5 walked 1.5 ran 3 and then walked for 5 minutes. The running felt good, still having hydration issues. I need to get a new water bottle. My waterbottle is great for work, but I need one with a sports spout for running. I had to pause while walking to drink. Otherwise the run went well. I am still pretty tired when I finish, but know that I am getting a good workout.

Today at work, we had cake to celebrate a birthday. It was a pretty big cake, perhaps half of a sheet cake, maybe larger. By the time I got back from class at 1:00, people had already eaten half the cake. Now keep in mind there are only 10 people in my office besides me and some didn’t have cake. Crazy. The cake was white with chocolate frosting and looked pretty gross , so I didn’t even really have to resist. I did buy a 2 pack of Reese’s cups and am going to share with the hubby. I love Reese’s .

I am excited because this weekend I will have a chance to run outside with my mom and sister and see how I am really doing in comparison. MY hubby is also running. He is a 5 weeks into couch to 5k and I am impressed he is still at it and doing well.

I think I am going shopping tomorrow night since I need some new smaller clothes. That should be fun.
