Not giving up

This morning it was really cold...30 degrees with 20-30 mile per hour wind gusts and a wind chill of 18, but I knew I had to go out. I am still sore from my butt of all places, but I didn't let that stop me.

I got all my winter gear on and headed out. I did the 5 minute warmup and realized it was damn cold. I started jogging and realized I was running too fast and tried to slow down. I wasn't running into the wind which helped . I ran about 11-12 minutes before stopping for about 30 seconds to a minute walking to readjust my scarf, hat etc. I then jogged again for about 5 minutes stopped for another minute or so and then jogged again for about 5 minutes and walked across the intersection ..and ran the rest of the way home.

I think my running time was probably about 20 minutes but not straight. I was supposed to do 25 minutes straight, but I am not sure I am ready for that yet. I figure small transitions to walking and back to running is better then stopping all together.

WIDT Summary
Couch to 5k 30 minutes (about 10 minutes walking, 20 running)

good job! definitely run/walk is better than just walking, or nothing at all!
