I'm Home...YAY

I made it home safely yesterday from my trip to the Netherlands. I had a blast, but am really glad to be home.

Highlights from the trip
Playing with my extra adoreable nephews
Having my nephew crawl into bed with me each morning to cuddle
Spending quality time with my parents and sister
Eatting crap all week and not gaining an ounce of weight since I walked about 4-6 miles a day
Running 20 minutes straight for the first a foreign country no less
Getting a stamp on my passport
Watching 4 movies on the plane (Walk the line, Derailed,Family Stone, Prize Winner of Definance Ohio)
Spending days shopping and playing instead of working

Not speaking the language and feeling like I didn't know what I was doing
Leaving :(
Sitting behind a smelly man who handn't showered and had gas for 9 hours on the way home
Cold weather (but no colder then here )
losing my winter hat in IKEA ...lucky I found one for 2 Euro's

I didn't end up going to Belgium, France or Germany as originally thought. It is hard to do a ton of traveling with little children. I did get to see a bunch of cool stuff though and I think for my first trip to Europe having it be low-key was cool with me.

I will write more later. I have a ton of laundry and unpacking to do.

PS. I am trying to catch up on blog reading but am very behind.

Welcome home!! I love going on European vacations, I always come back losing weight b/c we walk so much. When we go on our honeymoon we'll be gone 3 weeks, so I'm thrilled about that potential weight loss. Plus I'm kind of a picky eatter when I travel (althoug not here in the US) and never find much to eat while traveling.

It's great you can now say "ooh, yes, I traveled to the Netherlands in aught6" - maybe not in such a weird english accent though.
