Ok so I am pondering what to do. I have been working out since Saturday without a break and have been feeling pretty good. Should I continue working out until I feel I need a break or should I plan to take a break. I just am a bit afraid if I stop I won't start back up again.

I think your personal trainer factored rest days into your plan didn't she?

I think it's great that you have been exercising more than your personal trainer!

planned break, definitely. gauging the need for a workout break is similar to gauging the need for hydration. You often don't notice you need to drink more until you're severly dehydrated. Your body needs time to rest and repair itself, and if you keep going until you feel too tired to keep going anymore, you're NOT going to think that working out is "fun" anymore and you're going to start to dread it.

that said, don't go against your personal trainer's recommendations. Personal trainers know way more than I do, I'm quite sure.

You're doing awesome! take a rest day, get reenergized, and you'll be super excited to get back to it when your rest day is over!

no break! It's like people who take a "year off" after high schools, how many go back?!

Friday's are my rest days, but Pippin and I still walk a mile in the morning. That's really for him and not for me, so I guess it's technically still exercise - but no running or heavy cardio. I've gotten so addicted to exercise that I feel really bad if I skip too many days. It's addictive like crack.
